The Grip & Rip Paper Towel Holder by OXO features a unique grip-stop mechanism. Pull on a single paper towel and the entire roll rotates smoothly. To stop the movement, simply grip the handle, then tear off one sheet with ease. Each roll of paper towels is secured to the tube for smooth rotation and the non-slip base is weighted for stability. A raised edge on the base keeps paper towels from unrolling. To replace an empty roll, simply press the button and remove the top of the Holder. All OXO good grip products use a material called Santoprene, a processed rubber with a soft velvety feel that doesn't break down when exposed to kitchen oils. It is dishwasher safe and non-latex. The material works particularly well for the flexible "fins" on the Good Grip handles. The Santoprene material's flexibility allows the fins to bend under pressure and conform to individual finger grips for comfort and control, and since Santoprene is non-slip, that control is maintained even when the handle or hands are wet.
